Outfielder Jax Pederson (31, San Francisco Giants스포츠토토) broke away from the front row.
The San Francisco club announced on the 16th (Korean time) that Pederson was placed on the 10-day disabled list (IL) due to inflammation in his right wrist. In San Francisco, key hitters, including Mitch Haniger, Austin Slater, and Roberto Perez, are injured, and even Pederson had a hiatus as a result of the situation.
Pederson played in 10 games this season before the injury, recording a batting average of 0.242 (8 hits in 33 at-bats), 2 homers and 9 RBIs. He hadn’t played in a game since the last 12 days against the Los Angeles Dodgers (1-for-3, 2 RBIs). San Francisco called up Matt Beatty (30) from the Minor League Triple-A to fill Pederson’s vacancy.
Pederson is a 10-year big league veteran. He debuted with the Dodgers in 2014 and went through the likes of the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves. He made his home in San Francisco last year. His major league (MLB) career results are a batting average of 0.237 with 173 home runs and 443 RBIs in 1029 games.
