Kylian Mbappe (PSG) is at a crossroads. Despite turning down an astronomical offer from Saudi Arabia, PSG are keeping their cool.

“PSG have received an offer of €300 million (N42.65 billion) from Al-Hilal for Mbappe, and PSG have authorized Al-Hilal to hold talks with Mbappe,” The Athletic reported.

Qatari capital PSG will receive an offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal. There is no reason to doubt the willingness of Al-Hilal to offer an unimaginable sum for Mbappe, who has been acting like a pariah.

European soccer transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said: “PSG have definitely received an offer of €300 million, but there are no talks with the player at the moment. Al-Hilal would offer Mbappe the highest salary in the world, even for one season. PSG feel that Mbappe has a contract with Real Madrid until 2024.”

Mbappe was at the center of controversy when he rejected a “one-year contract extension option” in June, a year before his contract with PSG expired.안전놀이터

If the option is not exercised, Mbappe will be able to find a new home as a free agent after his contract expires next June.

PSG, who paid a €180 million (KRW 25.56 billion) transfer fee for Mbappe from AS Monaco in September 2017, could find themselves in the position of losing him as a free agent.

Mbappe’s refusal to extend his contract led PSG to suspect that he had already agreed to join Real Madrid.

PSG had both a stick and a carrot for Mbappe.

It dropped Mbappe from its preseason tour of Asia while considering measures such as suspending his wages and benching him for the entire season.

PSG is also reportedly trying to convince Mbappe to stay, offering him a 10-year, €1 billion ($1.4 billion) contract.

The situation is complicated by the fact that rich club Al Hilal have offered a whopping $300 million transfer fee.

That’s a staggering €300 million, surpassing the previous record transfer fee of €220 million ($312 million) for Neymar, so PSG is bound to be tempted.

“Al-Hilal have offered Mbappe a salary of €700 million ($995 million) a year,” explained Matteo Moretto of Relevo. This translates to a weekly wage of €13.4 million.

The agreement between the clubs is more or less complete, but Mbappe’s decision is crucial.

“If Al Hilal can convince Mbappe to stay, PSG will accept the €300 million,” explained L’Equipe Roïc Taj.

Lelevo added: “There is no doubt about Mbappe’s future. He would rather take a year off than move to Saudi Arabia. No matter how good an offer PSG receives, we have to agree with the player in order for the transfer to go through. They can’t force him to sign for a team he doesn’t want to go to. Mbappe does not want to play in the Saudi league.”

“Mbappe does not want to move to Saudi Arabia despite a surprise offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal,” the Daily Mail reported, adding that “Al-Hilal have been authorized by PSG to negotiate with Mbappe, but he is set to reject the offer.”

Last year, Mbappe made waves when he said he wanted to move to Real Madrid.

Mbappe was under contract at PSG until June 2022, but he delayed signing a new deal. While a move seemed likely, Mbappe eventually re-signed with PSG. But the problem wasn’t over. In fact, it got bigger.

“Mbappe has informed PSG of his decision. He will not exercise his one-year extension option until 2025. His contract expires in 2024,” Romano said.

“PSG’s position is clear. “PSG’s position is clear: either Mbappe re-signs this summer or we sell him. PSG has no intention of losing Mbappe as a free agent in 2024. PSG are surprised that Mbappe has not asked for any dialog in his decision.”

So did the BBC. “Mbappe has told PSG he will not re-sign,” the BBC reported. Mbappe has until July 31 to tell the club whether he will stay or go. But after months of talks, he has sent a letter declining an extension.”

As the transfer speculation heated up, it was reported that Mbappe had sent a second letter to PSG.

“Mbappe wrote to the club in June and again in July to show his desire not to renew his contract until 2025,” L’Equipe reported on July 7.

Marca also explained that “Mbappe sent a second letter in which he explained in more detail why he did not want to renew his contract.”

PSG were also furious. President Al-Khelaifi made his stance on Mbappe’s departure clear during Luis Enrique’s press conference on Friday. “My position is clear. I don’t want to repeat myself. If Mbappe wants to stay, he has to sign a new contract. We also want him to stay. We don’t want to let the best player in the world go for free. We will never let him go for free. It’s a very clear situation. There is no one bigger than the club.”

PSG will not lose Mbappe easily. It’s clear why they signed him to a new contract last season. Mbappe reportedly earns £650,000 ($1 billion) a week at PSG, according to local European media.

Therefore, there is absolutely no reason to let him go for free. RMC Sport emphasizes that PSG are positive about Al Hilal’s offer.” In other words, if the right offer comes in for Mbappe, he could be sold.

To make matters worse, Mbappe is having a nervous breakdown with PSG. He participated in preseason training but was excluded from the Asian tour.

On April 22, PSG announced the 29-man roster for their preseason tour of Japan. However, Mbappe’s name was not included.

Mbappe’s contract runs until June 2024, raising the possibility that he could be left out of the squad for the rest of the season.

According to CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs, “If Mbappe does not sign a new contract and wants to stay at PSG, he will be left out of the UEFA Champions League squad for the 2023-2024 season. If Mbappe wants to join Real Madrid next summer, he will have a tough time getting there, and Euro 2024 will be a challenge.”

Mbappe will have a very difficult season if he wants to leave on a free transfer. His participation at UEFA Euro 2024 next summer could also be a challenge.”
