Kim Si-woo, who is about to participate in the Masters Tournament in the ‘Fighting Masters Tournament’, is going to quench his last shot.

Kim Si-woo will participate in the US Professional Golf (메이저놀이터PGA) Tour Valero Texas Open held at the TPC San Antonio Oaks course (par 72) in San Antonio, Texas, USA for four days from the 31st (hereinafter Korean time).

Since this tournament is held a week before the Masters Tournament, which opens on the 6th of next month, many players are unable to attend.

World ranking No. 1 Scotty Scheffler and No. 2 Rory McIlroy take a break from the competition, while Im Seong-jae and Kim Joo-hyung also take a break to adjust their condition.

However, Kim Si-woo was on the list even though he qualified for the Masters by winning the Sony Open in January.

The dimension of checking the shot ahead of the Masters is large, but on the other hand, it is a judgment to aim for the second championship of the season when there are no strong players. The good memory of tying for 4th place in the last 2019 competition also worked.

The Valero Texas Open has not allowed Korean players to win the title. The best result ever was a tie for second place set by Wi Chang-soo in 2008.

Ahn Byeong-hun and Kim Seong-hyun threw their tickets for the Masters. The winner of this competition can hold the last ticket in their hands according to the rules for qualifying for the Masters.
