The Lotte Giants regained control of the fifth spot. They escaped a three-game losing streak.

Lotte won the 11th game of the regular season of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against the LG Twins 7-4 at Sajik Stadium in Busan on Monday. With the victory, Lotte once again secured a five-game winning streak. They escaped a three-game losing streak and remained in fourth place with 38 wins and 37 losses. LG saw its two-game winning streak snapped, falling to 49 points, 29 losses and two ties. The chance to reach 50 wins will have to wait until next week.

LG struck first in the first inning. Hong Chang-ki led off with a double to the top of the left field fence and Moon Sung-joo followed with a single to left-center. Kim Hyun-soo flied out to left field and Austin’s single up the middle stranded the tying run at first base.토토사이트

Lotte answered right back in the top of the first. In the bottom of the first inning, Yoon Dong-hee walked and Jeon Jun-woo singled to left to put runners on first and second with no outs, and a wild pitch tied the game at 1-1. In the next inning, Ahn Chi-hong singled to left center to make it 2-1.

Lotte seized the momentum and scored back-to-back runs in the second and third innings. In the second inning, leadoff hitter Noh Jin-hyuk singled to left-center field and Son Sung-bin doubled to left-center field to put runners on first and second. When Hwang Sung-bin was hit by a pitch, Noh scored from third base to make it 3-1. Two batters later, Kim Min-seok singled up the middle to make it 4-1. After Kim stole second base, Jeon Jun-woo lined a single up the middle to extend the lead to 5-1. In the third, leadoff hitter Yoo Kang-nam extended the lead to 6-1 with a solo shot to left. It was a 143-kilometer fastball from Lee Jung-yong.

But in the fourth inning, LG fought back. Lotte allowed themselves an opening. With two outs in the top of the fourth, Park Hae-min singled to center and Shin Min-jae singled to left to put runners on first and second, and Hong Chang-ki singled to right to cut the deficit to 6-2.

In the top of the fifth, Kim Hyun-soo singled to right and Austin walked to put runners on first and second with no outs. LOTTE continued to push the starting pitcher Staley, but then made a late change. With runners on first and second, LG scored a run on Oh Ji-hwan’s single to right. With runners on first and third, Park Dong-won’s grounder to shortstop was misplayed. With no outs, LG scored one more run. 4-6. Luck seemed to be on their side.

However, with runners on first and second, Oh Ji-hwan was thrown out at second base by catcher Son Sung-bin. The sixth inning ended with no further runs scored. Lotte overcame the crisis.

Lotte scored another run in the bottom of the sixth. After the first inning, Son Sung-bin singled and Hwang Sung-bin doubled to put runners on first and third. Kim Min-seok struck out, but Yoon Dong-hee singled to load the bases, and Jeon Jun-woo’s pushing single cut the deficit to 7-4.

Lotte poured on the bullpen of Lee In-bok, Han Hyun-hee, Choi Joon-yong, Goo Seung-min and Kim Won-joong to secure the win after Straily gave up four runs on seven hits and three walks in four innings. Kim Min-seok had three hits, one RBI and one run scored, while Yoon Dong-hee had one hit, three walks and one run scored.
