The Athletic of the United States announced on the 8th (Korean time), “Kane will officially retire as a Kansas City Royals player this summer메이저놀이터.” Kane has been unemployed since being released from Milwaukee in June of last year.

Drafted in the 17th round of the 2004 draft, Kane traded from Milwaukee to Kansas City in December 2010. In 2015, he played in 140 games, hitting 0.307, hitting 16 home runs, and hitting 72 RBIs. He drew attention by leading Kansas City to win the World Series. He earned free agent (FA) status in 2018 and wore the Milwaukee uniform, but it went downhill after 2019. Kane’s 13-year career in the major leagues is 1171 appearances, a batting average of 0.283, 87 homers, and 454 RBIs.

Kansas City general manager JJ Piccolo said, “Kane will be in the club’s Hall of Fame.” The Kansas City club plans to celebrate his retirement by inviting Kane to his home stadium, Kauffman Stadium, during the season.
