Reporter Hyung-gyu Choi listened to the reason why the director appointed Klinsman, who was controversial from the beginning due to the ‘passing controversy’ among the members.

Coach Klinsmann has been appointed as the new coach to lead the national soccer team.

Just before the announcement of the appointment of the director, the news was notified to the members of the power reinforcement committee, and when the ‘passing controversy’ was pointed out, Chairman Mueller explained that he had ‘already sought consent’.

– “(Yesterday), everyone was positive at the meeting, and I think it was a time when we shared enough information.”

Among the final candidates selected from 61 to 5, the reason why Chairman Muller made Klinsman the first subject of negotiations was ‘motivation’.

He said, “He had a strong will to live in Korea as a manager,” and introduced his strengths, saying, “He was the perfect fit and he’s also a strong leader.”

– “How to manage individual players and stars, how to create teamwork and how to motivate is also important. These are the strengths of Klinsman and the leader.”

In response to the criticism of ‘there is no tactic’, he said, “Klinsman is a manager who has strengths in tactics,” and said, “I look forward to raising the national team’s scoring power.”

Coach Klinsman will return to Korea next week to appoint coaching staff to help him and prepare for his debut against Colombia on the 24th of next month.

In addition, we plan to hold a press conference on the 9th of next month at the earliest to reveal our plans for the 2026 World Cup in North and Central America.
